The CCS students emerged as winners in the competition

The Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) organized a three-day long competition in Zambales on August 22-25, 2017 to showcase each and every skill of the students and trainees of their own field of expertise.

The students and graduates who participated on this said competition vie to get the prestigious gold medals which will catapult them directly to the national level competition while those who came as runner-ups will also be awarded and recognized with a bronze title certificate from TESDA Zambales. The medals earned by the competitors are based on a pointing system arranged by the experts or the coach/trainee of the competitors. Besides with the goal in mind to nurture the skills of the competitors, TESDA aims to have globally competitive individuals that can actually compete for the upcoming Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN).

The trade areas or category of competition includes: Cooking, Beauty Therapy, Hairdressing, Electrical Installation, Electronics, IT Cabling, Graphic Design Technology, IT Network Systems Administration, IT Software Solution for Business, Mechanical Engineering Design-CAD, Robotics, Restaurant Servicing, Web Design, and Welding.

The opening ceremony was held in Gordon College, Amphitheatre, Olongapo City where Mayor Paulino and Ms. Bondoc, TESDA director of Zambales gave their most valued insight on what to expect on the competition. Gordon College hosted the IT-related trade areas, and it is our great pleasure to know that we managed to be awarded with some gold medals for our own school.
